Raised in the deserts of Arizona, I happen to be from one of those count-as-they-trickle-out-the-van type families. When my career driven mother ran into a nerdy, adventure/mountain man, I doubt they guessed they would be raising a passel of ten little people. God is funny that way. My life is marked by His saving grace and a plethora of blessings, usually in the shape of wonderful people.
Since every human seems to have such tremendously long and windy backstories, I won't bother catching up you up with mine but I will share some little particulars about me. I firmly believe hot chocolate can and should be drank at anytime of the year; books hold a charm for me that no laptop or iPad can hope to match. I love those old black and white films with the bad acting and sedate plot lines and if you offered me the choice between a slice of cake and a scoop of ice cream, I'd promptly choose the ice cream. (unless it was strawberry. ick.) I like to imagine we aren't meeting through a illuminated screen but that we are old friends in the middle of a conversation and I'm about to flick through a bunch of photos and catch you up on life. So slouch in your chair and stay a while.
